The 1913 Curtiss Flying Boat
The Curtiss Flying Boat series was the result of experience gained through the earlier Curtiss hydroaeroplanes. Curtiss was a leader in designing and building waterborne aeroplanes. Perhaps the most widely used of the Curtiss flying boats was the Model F. A newly-built Curtiss Model E Flying Boat can be seen at the Glenn H. Curtiss Museum of Early Aviation in Hammondsport, New York.
